Day 1: Nairobi

About Samburu National Park

The Park was established in 1948. It is located about 350 kilometers from Nairobi. This is the place to be if you want you would like to witness pure Kenyan culture as you enjoy the view of the animals. Animals like the Grevys’ zebra, Tanzanian cheetah, Masai lion, reticulated giraffe, elephants and buffaloes are in this Park. The Park contains over 50 species of animals. Bird life is also in plenty with over 450 species like the Grey-headed Kingfisher, Bee-eater, Sunbird, Marabou stork and the Horn-bill. Waso Nyiro River is also a major attraction to tourists as it holds numerous aquatic species like the crocodile and the hippos, as well as other animals coming to drink water.

    There are over 20 plant species in samburu National Park but the dominant plant species include the Acacia Elator, Down Palms and the Salva Dora Pesica. 

    The Samburu people are purely cultural and very colorful. The samburu women usually have a neck that is encircled all round with beads and their chins are painted with red ochre. The samburu men  also wear a cloth that is often black and is wrapped around their waist. Tourists are well accommodated by samburu people in samburu national reserve, friendly people as they love visitors. They will dance with you some traditional folk songs and give you very sweet traditional Samburu food. 

 

Day 2: Samburu
After breakfast depart Nairobi at 7.30Am drive to Samburu National Reserve cross Equator, travel through changing landscapes to the rugged-semi region, though harsh but having unique species like the unusual reticulated giraffe, grevy's Zebra, Beisa, oryx, gerenuk. These species are rarely found elsewhere. The bird life is especially notable. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Sopa Lodge

 

Day 3: Samburu
Full day with morning and afternoon game drive. Optional visit to Samburu villages. Meals and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge

 

About Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha has an average depth of 6 meters. A gorge along the lake forms an entrance to Hell’s Gate National Park, which contains some spectacular examples of water and weather-worn rock features as well as a great variety of flora and fauna. There is plenty of wildlife in the lake such as hippos, crocodiles as well as over four hundred different species of birds including cormorant, pelican, fish eagles. It has a healthy population of fish, which includes Tilapia, Black bass, and Crayfish which attract a variety of fish-eating birds.

    The landscape around this lake is quite beautiful, make a trip to the place and expect one of the best touring experiences in a lifetime. You can have a boat ride for hours enjoying the close lake view of hippos and birds; ride along the island to see the different types of wildlife such as giraffes grazing. The crater game sanctuary provides a peaceful and quiet environment. There are several high-end resorts on the shores of the lake, delicious meals are served here and the traditional style high teas remain the best in Kenya. Early morning game drive, back to the Lodge for breakfast afterwards depart from Nakuru then proceed to Lake Naivasha arriving there in time Lunch at the Lodge, In the afternoon we wil organise Boat Ride with Naivasha Sopa Resort overnight at the Lodge

Day 6: Maasai Mara
From the Lodge, we explore the Mara region, packed with the elephant, zebra, rhino and all kinds of game through out the year with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti occurring mainly in July and August. Being at Maasai Mara is "as if you found yourself in the New York of the natural world according to some authorities". Indeed you have the best opportunity of seeing all the big five. About Amboseli National Park

With the various attractions that everyone wants to experience the thrill that comes from the game drives and watching animals in their territory, Amboseli National Park is a great place to visit. The National Park offers the one of the best African wildlife adventure experience when it comes to the wide range of wildlife species, as well as the spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is renowned for its large herds of elephants. Other animals in the park are; giraffes, buffalos, zebras, hyena, lions, cheetahs, impala and even jackals among others.

Depart Mara after breakfast and proceed to Amboseli via Nairobi with packed Lunch. Arrive to the park at the foot of the snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

 

Day 8: Amboseli
Full day with two game drive. Meals and overnight at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

 

Day 9: Amboseli - Nairobi - Departure
Early game drive back to the Lodge for breakfast, later depart with packed Lunch drive to Nairobi arriving Nairobi in the afternoon, transfer to the Airport to board the flight back home.
