About Aberdares National Park

At Aberdares National Park, there is just plenty to see. From elephants, giant forest hog, black rhinos, mountain reedbuck, leopards, cape buffalo, spotted hyenas, bongo, olive baboons, duikers, black and white colobus monkey, suni, warthogs, side-stipe jackal, bushbucks and many others. Birds of diverse formation graciously wallow the sky. From the eagles, sunbirds, sparry hawk, goshawks, plovers, Aberdare cisticola, to over 250 different species.

    There is equally the rising and falling of mountains into fantastic V-shaped valleys, and the water falls drum the rhythms on nature. The view from the Ark and Treetops is an excellent nighttime viewing that is filled with the noticing of various animals like elephants, buffalos, rhinos and lions who seek to drink in the attractive waterholes.

 

Day 1: Nairobi Transfer to Aberdares

3 Hours: Travel time to Aberdares

0700 Hours: Pick up from your Nairobi hotel and depart for Aberdare's to arrive at mid-morning. Have a walk around Aberdare Country Club as you wait to be served with lunch. Enjoy lunch at 1300hours before have a joint game drive with other lodge’s guests. Later be driven to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

About Lake Nakuru National Park

There are millions of flamingoes and few wild animals such as white rhinos, gazelle, warthog, and lion among others. The Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the few Great Rift Valley attractions in Kenya that have the potential to hold a large number of birds. The place has alkaline water ecosystem that suits other bird species such as European winter, black winged stilts, and avocets in which can be great experience. During courtship, a group of upto 10 individuals hold their heads and neck high and call to one another.

    They then move the head side to side. Over the next several minutes, the rhythm increases and other members join in the frenzy, which can reach up to 50 individuals. It is one of the magnificent displays that everyone needs to experience. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and the habitats around the lake systems attract a wealth of large mammals like rhino, elephant, buffalo, and leopard and provides one of the best areas in Kenya for bird watching.

 

Day 2: Aberdares Lake Nakuru

3 Hours: Travel time to Lake Nakuru

0700 Hours: Depart for Lake Nakuru after breakfast to arrive at lunch time.

1400-1600 hours: Relaxation by the pool area

1600-1800 hours: Game drive

Overnight at the Waterbuck Hotel/Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge/Sarova Lion Hill Lodge

About Masai Mara

Day 3: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara 

5 Hours: Travel time to Maasai Mara

6.30a.m: Have breakfast and depart for Maasai Mara. Arrive at 1300 hrs at the lodge or camp for lunch.

1400-1600 hours: Relaxation by the pool area

1600-1800 hours: Game drive

Overnight at the Ol Moran Camp/Mara Sopa Lodge/Mara Ashnil Camp

Day 4: Maasai Mara Full day 

Spend the whole day with a game drive in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits this beautiful savannah plains. There will be picnic lunch on the banks of Mara River.

Optional activities: Hot air balloon, a visit to Maasai village & guided nature walks

Overnight at the Ol Moran Camp/Mara Sopa Lodge/Mara Ashnil Camp

Day 5: Maasai Mara Nairobi (Drop off)

0700 hours: Have early breakfast and depart for Nairobi to arrive at lunch time which will be served at Carnivore Restaurant. After lunch you will be dropped off at a hotel of your choice.
